Moving again. No joke!

When Paul was offered this job, we weren't sure if there would be a place for us to live on-site at camp, or if we'd have to look for a rental in town. Lots of people were waiting on various decisions to be made at the Board level, so the wait was on. In early September we got word that there would not be a place for us to live on-site when we arrived in October. While disappointed, we understood that we were just one piece of the bigger picture of what goes on at Imadene. The residence that we would have occupied was used as a dorm house for the students in the Auxano program. Looking back over these 6 months, we see how it's been good for us to live elsewhere so as to ease into camp life. The next question was whether or not we'd be able to live onsite for the summer. We knew we needed somewhere to live as our current rental is seasonal, and our landlords are eager to get into their "summer cabin". Sometime in March we got the official word that we would be able to stay in what is affectionately known as "The Dupe", from May-August. It's one side of a duplex - and our neighbours will be the Burdge family!

We gave 2-months notice to our landlord and were nervous they might be annoyed with us for leaving 2 months earlier than we had originally planned, but they were not bothered at all, saying they were hoping to move back in here in June. They had offered it to us until the end of June because of the school year, but we're not as affected by that timeline as homeschoolers. With us gone for May as well, they'll be able to spend more time here on weekends and days off, enjoying the tranquility and working on various renovation projects. Win-win!

And so now we are eagerly anticipating our move out to Mesachie at the end of this month, to have a front row seat (and bed, couch, and kitchen sink) to all the excitement ahead at camp this summer!
