Our Christmas - Part One

We had our first TWO Christmas celebrations on December 15th. Paul's Mom's whole family gets together at Christmas. Everyone who can comes and we all chip in for the dinner or, as we did this year, soup and appetizers. It's usually held in the multi-purpose room at Grandma & Grandpa's condo, but this year it was moved (along with Grandma & Grandpa) to the Menno home where Grandpa is in the hospital and Grandma has a new apartment. It was a really nice room with a decent amount of space for us all to spread out. All were there except cousin Brian and Paul's sister Deb and her hubby Dan.

(Having trouble loading the pictures here so you can go see them on my Facebook album ... here.)

We had to rush away to get to Max's dress rehearsal for the next day's Christmas concert. He was so incredibly tired, and the rehearsal itself was a little chaotic. He wouldn't let me leave his side, and nearing the end, he was actually laying on the floor and asking me to take him home to bed. Poor boy. I had my doubts about how the big show would go for him the next day but he did really well. That same evening we had our little Z family Christmas. We hosted it at our house so we wouldn't have to schlep the boys all over the place. Frieda put together a delish turkey dinner and we had a good time chilling, and watching the antics of the four boys.

Our pretty tree (even though it's artificial!)
