Big boy bed!
We decided it was finally time to move Marty to his own room, which meant we had to put Max in his big bed. He was quite excited and caught on quickly, bringing his books and teddies to tuck them under the blankets. Last night went great, although it seems it took him a few positions to get comfy. We think the pillows bothered him so they're out for now. (When he saw that he had one, he wanted one for his critters, too.) Nap time today wasn't so easy, as there were too many distractions in the room. Once those were removed, he finally crawled back into bed after about an hour and slept for 2 and a half! Bedtime tonight went well again and he's sleeping under the blankets, in the right direction. It probably helps that I've got a baby lock on the inside of his door so he knows it's uselss to try to escape! What a big boy. I hope to get Marty's room (and the rest of the house!) in order tomorrow before our dinner company arrives.

other than a big conck on his little head on the headboard, last night went well also. He even slept till after 7:00 am! woohoo :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a memorable two weeks at camp!! Now that Max is OK with his big boy bed, how is Marty doing in his big crib? Love the pictures.
ReplyDeleteWow, your camp adventures look great. Even though it sounds like it was a little crazy handling two little guys (smart move on the bbsitter idea! you are a smart woman), you will have such great memories! Sometimes i wish dave were a camp director and i get to hang out at camp all summer long. But i have romantacized it in my head and left out all the challenges! All the same your time there sounds so splendid! Is the camp connected with your church, or is it somewhere paul just loves to be?

Janie - No, you don't want to be at camp all summer long without a reliable helper! But you have a much more adventurous soul than I do so maybe you'd be okay with the craziness. The camp is part of our youth ministry. We rent the camp from Lakelse Pentecostal Camp and then our youth ( and the little 'uns) come and invite their friends. We've been there for two family camp weekend retreats and two summers of week long camps, so it's becoming "our camp". (But don't tell anyone from the Big Q - although it's absolutely nothing like Qwanoes so there's no comparison or favourites!)
ReplyDeletewow camp looks like a blast! i was just reminiscing (ahh can't spell!) about days at camp the other day- good times! i'm taking notes on your whole big bed thing- if i don't remember when the time comes for brook i'll definately pick your brain.
