millions of people will flog stadiums to watch tall sweaty people throw a funny colored ball into a basket... or gawk at how incredibly talented some people are who drive in a circle for a few hours straight (Nascar if you didn't get that...), or the hundreds of thousands of people who will gaze at a little sewed up ball being hit by a stick...
And you accuse me of watching something boring...have you ever tried to hit a golf ball straight!??? Mind you, it does get a little depressing knowing that the guys on TV almost always hit it straight when I can't seem to figure out how the heck to do such a thing...maybe that's why i'm watching it.
i have to admit, i am a total beginner with golf. i don't know what "up & down" mean and have difficulty remembering what "slice, hook, draw, or fade" really mean, or "It's breaking left to right..."
obviously you stay at home moms are simply jealous that some people get paid to go and relieve some stress on a little white ball with a friend or two.

Playing gold and Watching golf on TV really seem to me like two VERY different things. So a whole channel devoted to the latter? Sorry, still sounds like torture to me, but I'm not one of the millions that watches any those other sports you mentioned!
