Safe and sound, and asleep!

We've arrived at my parents house. The boys travelled remarkably well. Thank you, Watsons, for the use of your DVD player. Max was wonderfully content watching his shows. He even had headphones so we didn't have to listen to Bob the Builder for 2 days straight. The trouble with that happened when the headphones kept slipping off his head. Mommy saved the day by tying Marty's hat onto Max with headphones underneath! That was great until he started taking them off intentionally. That's when we noticed that he had chewed almost completely through the wire of the headphones. So we have some brainstorming to do for a peaceful ride home next week. The scenery through the great northwest was so beautiful. We didn't see a billboard advertisement for at least 2 hours after we left home. Visited the Gordon's for a few hours last night and had a nice breakfast with A&L in Quesnel this morning. The boys were not so patient with the car situation today, but only in the last 2 hours or so did they express that in earnest. By that time we were so close to our destination it wasn't too difficult to distract them. Both are now asleep in cozy beds and hopefully will stay that way for many many hours. (The time change has been nasty for Max, he was up at 5:00 on Monday morning. Hopefully this little holiday will re-set his internal clock and he'll be back to a decent rising hour when we get home.) And so begins a week jam-packed with visiting. And a little shopping too! :)
