We've been doing "time outs" with Max, and with great success. The deal is that he has to sit on the corner of the hearth until he hears the beep of the timer on the stove. After the beep, we have a chat, kisses, hugs and "I bopy" to the offended party. Sometimes the timer is already set for something else and I don't want to cancel it, so I do my own fake beep when his 2 minutes (or 3 or more, depending on the severity of the crime). Our clever little boy has picked up on the fake beeping and has taken to doing his own beeping. He stretches out his little chicken neck and crows "Beeeeeeep! Mommy beeeeeep!" It's pretty cute but, of course, unsuccessful.
Our new camera also beeps! It has all kinds of bells and whistles, and will even meow if we want it to. I'm serious. We'll take some time over our holiday to figure it all out. Upon our return we'll have lots of snowy pictures to share, and even some videos (if we can figure out how to post them). Our old camera does have video but it's very poor quality and has no sound. This will be a major improvement! We just couldn't let any more time pass by without capturing these boys on video.
The beeping story is cute, funny that he thinks his beeps will count! :)
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo on the new camera! It is actually the same as ours but one version newer, and we love it!
As you know I use dropshots to show our videos, it is really easy to use and you can if you want post to your blog using it. The only draw back to it is that the free version only allows you to have 10 videos on it at a time.
Can't wait to see the boys in action! :)

Great story about Max! (I now have several timers -got a cheap one from Ikea- for that same reason!
Forgot to say in a previous post - glad Max likes all of his play food he got for Christmas! Makenna got little metal pots and pans and metal stirring utensils from GG and she is cooking up a storm now! They made great noises and she is loving them. Bet Max would love them! :)

ReplyDeleteQuestion about the new camera: when you press the shutter, does it take the picture in that millisecond, like the "old fashioned film" kind? We're looking for a new digital, and because mine has this second delay (as it focuses, or something) and you know with kids, they lose that "look" in a second!
